Served 12pm to 1.45pm. Seasonal Modern British cooking from our main menu.
Open Wednesday to Sunday
The Butchers Arms does not serve a traditional Sunday roast. Sunday lunch is served from 12pm to 1.45pm and follows the same seasonal Modern British menu as the rest of the week, cooked to the standard that earned the pub 2 AA Rosettes and its place in the MICHELIN Guide. If a roast is what you are after, we would rather tell you now than disappoint you on the day.
Sunday lunch runs as a single service from 12pm, with the kitchen serving until 1.45pm. The menu is the same seasonal carte we cook the rest of the week, built around what our growers, farmers and day boats have sent that week.
Plenty of pubs within twenty minutes of here do an excellent roast, and we are happy to point you at one. What we do instead is cook the food that earned the kitchen 2 AA Rosettes in August 2025 — and Sunday is one of the nicest times to eat it, with the afternoon ahead of you.
Because it is one sitting rather than a rolling service, Sunday books up. Reserve ahead rather than arriving on spec.
