Race week fills tables across Gloucestershire and Worcestershire well in advance, so book early. The kitchen serves until 8.30pm in the evening and the pub is closed all day Monday and Tuesday, which catches race-week visitors out.

Eldersfield is far enough from Cheltenham to be quiet during race week and close enough to drive. If you are staying locally and want one evening that is not elbow-to-elbow, this is a reasonable bet.
